May 2008 teaching project xi

Teaching at Kingsdown School, Swindon. The aim was to help the pupils feel more comfortable just exploring and investigating everyday materials and how they can be used and shaped and melted etc, thinking also about the colours of them, and if the colour and shape and feel is masculine or feminine. I then put together alot of the pupils small pieces to form 2 large sculptures, one masculine and one more feminine. These are mounted high up in the large ICT suite, amoungst the silver masculine tubing. This particular photo is a detail of the masculine piece.
